Hi, I’m Travis.
I’m ridiculously serious about design. It’s really quite annoying actually. I can’t even take a short drive without noticing every sign, advertisement, logo etc. and trying to figure out what fonts were used, the steps used in Photoshop or Illustrator to achieve the final result, and wanting the chance to redesign all of them for the better. I welcome a great challenge, which makes the taste of success even sweeter. My work is a product of the marriage between design and marketing.
Here are a couple of things you might like to know and a bunch you probably don’t:
- I’m a perfectionist. Since the age of 3, if I colored out of the lines, I would rip the whole page out and start over. I know, I need counseling.
- I’m a Daddy to the most amazing and beautiful 4 year old girl in the world.
- As much as I love my job, faith and family come first.
- I could eat mexican food for every meal of every day.
- I can’t draw a cartoon or caricature to save my life. Don’t hire me for that.
- I can find humor in just about anything.
- I’m self-taught. I got my degree in Marketing, but design is what I love. Determination and love is all you need.
- I’ve been wearing Vans since I was in grade school and my collection hovers around a dozen pair at a time. I’ve happily passed this obsession onto my daughter. Checkerboard rules.
- I’m an 80’s kid through and through. Loved the Smurfs and Voltron as a kid and have an extensive Depeche Mode collection as an adult.
- I believe everyone should be forced to wait tables at least once in their life. Everyone would be more patient and better tippers.
- I love palm trees and the ocean, and yes I know I live in Seattle.
